As the school year starts afresh, FoodCorps Montana is welcoming changes in our team members and service sites. But one thing remains the same: our excitement for the new year!

My name is Mallory Stefan, and I would like to introduce myself as the new FoodCorps Montana Fellow for the 2015-2016 year. Originally from Washington, I served with FoodCorps as a Service Member for the last year in Mississippi, and I am thrilled to be a part of the food movement in the beautiful state of Montana. I can’t wait to dig in with this year’s incredible crew!

Our FoodCorps Montana team is 11 service members strong, bringing diverse experience and knowledge to their service sites. I am proud to introduce our 8 new service members: Maddy Halverson, Laura Arvidson, Meghan Montgomery, Lexie Gallegos, Elle Ross, Beth Williams, Annie Mombourquette, and Mary Rochelle. I also warmly welcome back our three returning service members: Amy Harvey, Whitney Pratt, and Kelsie Larson. This phenomenal team will be serving across the state at the following service sites: Browning, Kalispell, North Shore, Ronan, Polson, Missoula, Butte, Boulder, Bozeman, Red Lodge, and Hardin.

Together as as the FoodCorps Montana team, I know that we will accomplish great things this year and continue to improve Montana’s school food environment. Cheers to a fresh beginning — and fresh food!
